The mission of the Ohio Chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf is to foster relationships, which further the profession by providing opportunities for growth through development and support.  We are in the planning stages for educational opportunities for this term.  If you would like to be considered as a presenter for this term, please submit your proposal to the OCRID Vice President, Shalene Germani at ocridviceprez@att.net.

We distributed an interest survey to the members at our 2010 Expanding Our Universe conference and online.  According to that survey, the most requested topics included K-12 interpreting topics, followed by medical, mentoring, and mental health topics.  We will also gladly consider proposals on any topic of interest in the field of sign language interpreting.
